Gigi Masin & Jonny Nash Release ‘Postcards From Nowhere’

Ambient Pioneers Gigi Masin and Jonny Nash release the incredible 6-track EP ‘Postcards From Nowhere’.

Released on Amsterdam-based ambient label ‘Melody As Truth‘, the iconic pairing of Gigi Masin and Jonny Nash return to collaborate on the 6-track EP ‘Postcards From Nowhere’.

Forming 2 of the 3 members from Gaussian Curve, Gigi Masin and Jonny Nash wrote a selection of work during their time at Xavier Veilhan’s “Studio Venezia” in 2017. For this immersive installation, Veilhan transformed the French Pavilion into a fully functioning recording studio, inviting artists to record original works during a series of residencies.

During their time at the studio Masin and Nash recorded a series of improvised compositions primarily for piano and guitar. Situated in a unique acoustic environment and recorded with a variety of microphone techniques, the recordings directly capture Masin and Nash’s unique musical relationship and understanding.
