Nomyn Releases ‘Astral’ EP

Wednesday 7th November // French producer Nomyn last week released their latest instalment of captivating atmospheric compositions, a selection of 4 ambient pieces that create a journey into the reveries of the night and the depth of our Universe. Known for their beautifully precise deliverance in chilled electronica, we were keen to explore the EP. Nomyn was kind enough to run through the EP with us, explaining the concept behind the release and his fascination into night and space.

Each track from this project are connected by a global flying atmosphere and was made to embrace the beauty of the Cosmos. The order of the songs allow you to discover and live this progressive emotional exploration step by step, with a lot of atmospheric and ambient vibes.

01 – Astral

Astral is the opening track from the EP, which represents the beginning of our journey. The rhythm of the song and the particular ambience was made to project you directly into a very deep and powerful atmosphere. Gradually, you can feel a mix between dark and spacey vibes. ‘Astral’ is about an exploration of night mind meditation.

02 – Stellar

With Stellar, the second track from the EP, we continue our journey through the immensity of the night and universe. This song is about the power of the contemplation, the infinite richness of the mind, and the ability to dream above and beyond any limits. The rhythm with the minimalist ambient chill vibes was made to make you float away.

03 – Harmony

Harmony is the closing track on the EP. This last song with a very emotional and dreamy atmosphere sign to end our journey with a last breath of celestial wonder. Harmony is like floating slowly into the cosmos, through the stars, the planets, the galaxy, and all the things who reminds us deeply who we are. Night sky, atmospheric ambient, space.. Harmony is about all the feelings who fit with dreams and immensity.

04 – Lightness (Extra bonus track)

Lightness is a song about the ability to let go your thoughts, to just feel the present moment. The atmospheric vibes of the track with the rhythmic allow to the mind to floating away in a progressive way and focus on whatever makes you feel better.

As you can see, I really wanted to have something coherent with this project. This EP was born with an idea to propose an ambient connection between the tracks, who allow to build a floating and dreamy atmosphere all along the project.

I’m passionate about night and space, with Astral EP my goal was to propose a journey inspired by dreams and immensity.
